What Natasha Does
I use my eye for the aesthetic and penchant for the practical to diplomatically incorporate a homeowner’s personal tastes and needs into my interior styling vision of “no throwing and no buying” that ultimately enlivens the home space. This unique methodology is what makes my interior styling approach successful in the eyes of the homeowner. Using existing furniture and accessories, I transform living spaces into livable, dynamic spaces that one proudly calls home. And, I do it in only one day. That is Eco Deco.

What Inspires Natasha
There is always room for improvement, slight or significant, no matter the homeowner’s decorating taste. I have an innate talent to see things in a better, improved way; I am confident to assert myself as an interior stylist and home stager who brings change to people’s homes and ultimately to their sense of pride in their home.

My first memory of interior styling dates back to March 1995. I was in New Delhi staying at a relative’s home between travels to other cities in India. The house was largely two main rooms, excluding bedrooms, bathrooms and a kitchen, but the furniture adorning these spaces just wasn’t doing them justice. I began to reposition everything, daybed, dining table, chairs, television, artwork, sofa, side tables, and more, until I felt each piece was in its rightful place. Finally, the goals I didn’t know I had were reached. Not only did the home look optimally better, but all the spaces and furniture were now being utilized and the household was pleasantly surprised. Since that day, over 15 years ago, I’ve been redecorating private spaces - a hobby and passion which eventually evolved into a business idea while I was interviewing in New York over five years ago.

My Philosophy
How you live and work can reflect directly on your personality; time and money aside, it can also indicate how much you appreciate yourself. I felt an inner compulsion to work on those home and office spaces, an obsession to make them look their utmost best.

My aim is to update the appearance of your outer life and feel the change in your inner life. Redecoration can be a daunting task but I’m a design enthusiast, ultra pragmatic, with a strong sense of space and utility. In my approach to redecorating, I employ my intuition as much as aesthetics to ultimately energize the ‘new space’ without throwing away or buying new. All you need is an open mind and a desire to live better in your environment.

A friend recently told me that what I have is a ‘gift’. I’d never looked at it that way before, but the more I think about it, the more I catch myself smiling. It must be true!

Are you feeling overwhelmed by your stuff? Have you just moved into a new space where none of your furniture seems to fit? Have you recently been blessed by the arrival of a new baby only to find that you are feeling tired, cluttered and desperate for a decoration genie? Look no further. Eco Deco is here! Natasha came into our house and made it a home. After having our baby boy, Peter and I had moved into his duplex where all of our belongings were combined. His a mish mash of antiques/traditional furniture and graffiti art; mine a blend of mid-century modern/middle eastern kilims and carpets. We were sleep-deprived and at rope's end trying to figure out how to coordinate and decorate our space without it being an eye-sore. Enter Natasha! This beautiful woman came in, took a look around, rolled up her sleeves, and got to work. Within a few hours she turned our cluttered space into a hip and welcoming one. She moved all the main furniture around until she found the right flow. Do not be fooled by her slender frame, this woman can move furniture! She then came back for a more detailed fine-tuning where she focused on highlighting our accent pieces and enhancing our colour palette-without a drop of paint! We did not spend a penny on new furniture! Before she left, we even got pointers regarding items that could enhance our space visually, as well as help us keep the space clutter-free. She also designated fixed spots for certain items and recommended that we should discard or store items that did not belong. Needless to say, we love our space and no longer cringe when entering our home. Thank you Eco Deco!
